  • 8 Red Potatoes, washed and left unpeeled and cut into quarters
  • 5 cloves of garlic, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1/2 cup of half & half cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Black Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Place potatoes and garlic in a large saucepan; cover with water. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for about 25 minutes or until the potatoes are fork tender.
  2. Drain well
  3. Add the butter, half & half, salt and pepper.
  4. Smash with a potato masher until you achieve the desired consistency.
  5. Stir in the parmesan cheese

    I definitely prefer mashed potatoes with seasoning in them over plain. So much better and garlic is always good.

    Delaney….everything is better with garlic. Everything is also better with bacon. Normally I like large potatoes. I load them with garlic, butter, sour cream, and all sorts of seasoning. A nice onion chopped real fine and mixed into the potato recipe also works well.
