Ingredients
- 6 bone-in chicken legs with thighs attached
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups sour cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 to 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
- 1 large onion sliced
- 1 can (4oz) diced green chiles
- Tomato salsa for serving

- Preheat the oven to 350F
- Wash the chicken and pat dry with paper towels. Heat the oil in a heavy skillet. Add the chicken pieces, a few at a time, and brown on both sides. Arrange in a shallow 9×13 inch baking dish as they are done.
- In a food processor fitted with the steel blade or in a blender, combine the sour cream, salt, pepper, flour, garlic, and jalapeno pepper. Process until smooth.
- Pour the sour cream mixture over the chicken. Top with the onion and green chiles. Bake, uncovered, for 40 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. Serve with the tomato salsa.
